QUALIFICATIONS:
Provides information, ticket and tour retail services to customers seeking
recreation, entertainment and travel opportunities.
- Sells tickets, makes reservations and sells local and international
tours.
- Sells commercial air, ground transportation, hotel accommodations,
car rentals and vacation packages via Internet e-ticketing process.
Knowledge of the rules, regulations and requirements of leisure travel.
- Familiar with a variety of geographical locations worldwide.
- Collects fees, issues and maintains receipts, processes payments/refunds/credits;
prepares daily cashier activity reports, hank deposits and any other
administrative work required for the daily operation of the ticket and
tour program.
- Provides input of the planning and organizing of local and international
tours.
- Completes daily, monthly and annual reports as required.
- Exercises procedures to safeguard tickets, charges, fees, and change
funds. Submits proper paperwork for payments of vendors and miscellaneous
expenses.
- Answers the telephone and provides routine information pertaining
to the activities sponsored by the ticket and tour program.
- May meet with travel companies, airlines representatives and other
agencies to coordinate a years group tour - Provides general housekeeping

Applicant must have experience in responsible clerical
or office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the
ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade of the position. Must
demonstrate the ability to perform common mathematical problems and
make proper change when receiving payments. Requires computer skills
such as Windows and word processing and the ability to learn the POS
system and B-ticketing procedures. Experience with the SABRE system
is desired. Must be able to communicate clearly, effectively and be
able to read, speak and write English. A pleasant and positive personality
is required. Knowledge of the tourist industry and local attractions
and community is desirable. May occasionally escort group tours, which
may include heavy amounts of walking, climbing, sitting in planes, vans
and/or buses. This is a position of trust requiring
satisfactory completion of a~ National Agency check.
