PET TIP- A common tree located in Okinawa is very poisonous to dogs. The tree is a cycad tree commonly known as a Sago palm and looks like a small palm tree with a large cone in the center. The cone produces white nuts covered in a bright orange shell. These seeds are highly toxic. They cause neurologic signs and have a high fatality rate. Please keep these seeds away from your pets!

Towel Drive
We are accepting new or used bath-size towels for our furry friends.

The Japan District Veterinary Command has information about the requirements for the importation of pets into Okinawa. Please go to the following website to get the forms that you will need to bring your pets. http://www.usarj.army.mil/organization/vet/
This will help alleviate any discrepancies that might arise in the near future.

If there are any questions to this you can email okinawavet@kadena.af.mil and we can help you.
